Tutorial Tuesday - Jewelry Holder Tutorial

Here we are, super behind on posts again.

I am not sure why I get so behind...oh wait, an ever enlarging pregnant body, a 2 year old and a 5 year old, a stay at home job, and all my other Mommy duties...that might be it! ;)
I apologize.

Today I wanted to highlight some awesome Jewelry Holder Tutorials.
I purchased all the neccessary items to make my own, but haven't started and will have to show the final product on Finished! Friday.

Here's my version:

Picture Frame Jewelry Holder Tutorial
I have been wanting to make a jewelry holder for a long time.
The reason why?
My obnoxious pile of jewelry in my closet...gross huh.
So here is my tutorial for a jewelry holder, using only things I found around my house.
Supplies Needed:
- 1 Old Picture Frame
- Old (or new) Kitchen Drawer Liner
- Staple Gun with staples in it
- Hammer
- Nails
Step 1:
Flip over your frame over and remove the whole entire backing.
You can leave it for hanging purposes if you'd like.Step 2:
Measure out the drawer liner to match the size of your frame.
Step 3:
Staple the liner to the back of your frame.
REMEMBER: Keep the liner as tightly stretched as you can while stapling.
This will help keep the weight of the earrings you will be hanging there more secure.This is what it looks like when you are finished:
Step 4:
Now take your nails and hammer them to the bottom of your frame.
Add as many as you would like.
Step 5:
Hang your frame where you like and embellish it with your jewelry!

Singed Flower
I am sure many of you know how to make these.
I have seen them everywhere and wanted some
for me and some for my baby girl.
Here is my tutorial!

Supply List:
-Organza fabric made of 100% nylon, rayon, or polyester
(you don't need much, so scraps will work)
-Scissors
-Lighter
-Needle and Thread
-Center Embellishment

Step 1) - Cut 4 circles out of the fabric.
I cute mine with one large and made the other three slightly smaller than eachother.Step 2) - Melt the edges of each piece using your lighter.
(The longer you heat a spot, the more curl you will get,
careful not to light it on fire)

Step 3) - Stack the pieces on top of eachother.

Step 4) - Take your needle and thread and put a stitch in the middle.

Step 5) - Tie it off in the back and embellish how you would like!

In the very first photo is my finished product,
I added a bobby pin to the back for fun hair accessory!

Washer Knecklace

I found this tutorial on Blue Cricket Design.
Aren't they just awesome?
Here's my final result, and I LOVE it:
It is kind of weird if you think too much about it,
but once I made mine I thought it turned out beautiful!

Flower Bow Tutorial
(With a Button Rhinestone)

I know plenty of you out there make your own bows
and have your own methods.
I just thought I would do this tutorial to show
those Moms out there who don't know how,
how to create their very own cute flowers for their girls!

Supplies:
1 Flower
Glue Gun
1 button
1 gemstone
1 alligator clip, lined

Here is the flower, I buy these at the dollar store so I usually get a whole bunch and they only cost me a dollar for the bushel!! Step 1) Tear apart the flower and lay out all the pieces.

Step 2) Place a drop of glue in the middle of the largest piece
and lay the pieces on with the petals opposite of eachother,
gluing each layer.

I only did three layers, instead of every piece of the flower, I think it looks better.

Step 3) Take your button and gemstone and glue them together.

Step 4) Glue the gemstone in the middle of the flower.

Step 5) Glue to your favorite clip and your done!!
